SEALING THE HIMATANGI HIGHWAY.

The chairman of the Manawatu County Council (Mr .W. E. Barber) lias received' advitfe that the grant for sealing the Foxfcon-Hi-mn.tangi section, of the AucklandWellington main highway is now available.

The allocation for the highway is £11,685, on a subsidy basis of £3 for £1 and this work will commence this month.

'The short strip of highway on Mt. Stewart is the only part of llio Palmerston North-Bulls highway which remains to be sealed urn] for this worth the sum of £l,423 has been allocated on a subsidy of £3 for £l. It is anticipated that as soon as (lie weather takes up sealing of •this road will proceed and should be completed before the holiday period.
