MINISTERS VISIT SHOW .

Ministers of the Crown who visited Palmerston North on Thursday were entertained at a social function, in the Broadway Lounge during the evening by supporters of the United Party. The ActingPrime Minister, Hon. E. A. Ransom and the following Ministers of the Crown, the lions. R. Masters, J. G. Cobbe, do la Perrelle, S. G. Smith, A. -J. Stallworthy and Mr. Glinkard, member for Rotorua, were present.

During the evening a musical and elocutionary programme was presented, while visiting politicians spoke on party affairs. In addressing the gathering the lion. E. A. Ransom thanked those speakers who had made eulogistic references to their leader, the Right Hon. G. W'. Forbes, though lie had been criticised, they could rest assured that he had acted in the best interests of the Dominion. Mr. Hansom dealt with the work of the party in the past seasion and the platform of the United Party.
