Hamilton, Nov. 6. ‘Charged Avith the theft of £73 Avliile postmistress at Ilorotiu, Margaret Galbraith Crawford, aged 20, Avas admitted to twelve months’ probation at the Hamilton Court to-day. It Avas shown by the police that the ,money had been taken over a period of six Avedks, and a portion of it had been spent on a trousseau in preparation for her marriage in ;i few days’ time. The Magistate (Mr. Wyvern Wilson) remarked that he thought she had probably learnt a lesson.
