PRESBYTERIAN LADIES’ SOCIAL GUILD.

The monthly social afternoon of the Guild was given by Mrs. A. Stevenson, Park Street, on Tuesday. Two novel competitions caused much interest and were won by Mrs. J. Ross and Miss M. Speirs respectively. A verv dainty afternoon tea was dispensed by the hostess and the Misses Stevenson.

The next and final meeting for this year will, take the form of a garden party, to he Held at the manse the first week in December. Full particulars will he advertised later.

Before dispersing the president (Mrs. Nicholas) moved a vote of thanks to the hostess and her daughters for the most enjoyable ■afternoon they had provided, which was carried veiy heartily.
