AIR MAIL SERVICES BETWEEN FOUR CENTRES.

ESTABLISHMENT BEFORE EASTER,

Auckland, Nov. 4,

Action to be taken by Cabinet this week is expected to ensure the establishment of aerial mail services between Auckland, (Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin, the Postmaster-General, Hon. J. B. Donald, said to-day. The Government hoped before the end of this week to call for tenders for aerial mail carriage. The Government was not prepared to grant a straightout subsidy, but, was willing to allow the contracting firm to have the' receipts from the air stamps, less a percentage to cover the cost of transporting mails from the airports to the post offices.

Mir. Donald added that it was hoped to have the service in operation before Easter.
