Bands of enterprising kiddies paraded their “guys” early yesterday morning, and quite a number of residents were aroused at an early hour with the cry of “Guy I’awkes’ guy” at their back door. Rain last night somewhat marred ■their celebrations, however, but reflections in various parts of the borough showed that some of the /moire hardy spirits were not to he done out of their bonfire, while reports of fireworks were heard in the streets during the early part of the evening. .
