Doris Dawson, one of the most beautiful of the Baby Stars chosen Lor 1929 by the Wiampas organisation in Hollywood, has an impor1a nt supporting role in First Na'ional’s. new picture, “Hot Stuff,” v which is at the Town Hail to-mor- f row (Wednesday). As a decided type and great beauty, Miss Dawi.,,ll is both a contrast and a compliment to Alice White, the star of the picture. Doris is nearly as small as Alice, but dark, with chestnut hair and blue eyes, while Alice is a saucy, pretty blonde. The two are friends in the picture and they make a pair that would cieaLe a commotion anywhere. “Hot Stuff” is a collegiate picture, adapted from the story, “The Bluffers,” written by Robert S. Carr before his twentieth, birthday, and giving - a youth’s view of youth’s problems. It is a story for all ages but- presents a new angle on the ever present question, “What is to become of the young people of today.” Louise Fazenda, famous screen character woman, has au important supporting part and others in the cast include William (Bakewell, Buddy Messinger, Charles Sellou and Ben Hall. With - “Hello Sailor” (Comedy) and 1 News. Laura La Haute will appear on Saturday next in a hue mystery picture likened to “The Cat and the Canary,” for thrilling entertainment. The him is “The 'Last Warning,” (one of the best silent features of this year’s vintage.
