WEDDING.

lIA RT WELL—BANGS

A pretty wedding was solemnised at To Puke Methodist Church last week, the contracting parties being Violet Ethel, eldest daughter of Mr. and Airs. A. Wl Bangs, of To Puke and lale of Foxton, and Bernard Edward, only son of Air. and Airs. Hartwell of Great Barrier, North Auckland. The Rev. Sussex officiated. The bride who was given away by her father, was daintily attired in a white silk erepe-dc-eliene frock, and silver lace, her silk embroidered tulle veil being arranged to a radium lace cap and wreath of orange blossoms. She wove silver shoes and her bouquet was of clematis, white stock, friosias and ‘asparagus fern. Miss Amy Bangs, sister of the bride, attended as bridesmaid, wearing a frock of pink silk crepe-de-eliine and hat to tone and carried a bouquet of pale pink roses and asparagus fern. Air. Les Pearce, of Pongakawa, assisted as groomsman. After the ceremony a number, of relatives and friends sat down to the wedding breakfast, which was daintily arranged by Miss McDowell, a personal friend of the Bride. The guests were received by the bride’s parents, Mrs. Bangs wearing a frock of violet repp with hat to tone and fox fur. She carried a posy of violets and white stock- and asparagus fern. During the celebrations a large number of congratulatory telegrams and presents were received from Alanawatu and Bay of Plenty districts. The happy couple left by car amid showers of rice and confetti for Rotorua and Auckland. The lb|ride’s travelling dress was of cornflour blue silk celanese, with pale brown hat, coat and fur. ATr. and Airs. Hartwell will reside in Te Puke.
