To-morrow afternoon, weather permitting, two rinks from l ,, oxton will he present at the ntlicial opening of Shannon green. The irinks will 'he as follows: — Hamer, Ilowidl, Hinds, Christie (s). Seadden, Parkin, Deacon, Walker (s). Hulls green will also he o[)ened to-morrow, and the following plav<rs will make 111" journey Iron) here: —Xcwth, Kohinsfin, Ilcppner, I tun! ley (s). The conveyance for Hulls will leave at 12.45 shairp. On Saturday afternoon last one rink, consisting of Warwick, .Jno. Ross, Woods, Thomson (s) were present at the’ otlieial opening of Palmerston North green. The visitors were hospitably entertained and had a very pleasant time. They were successful in winning their match against Stevenson’s rink, .the scores being 22- —.15.
