REGULATIONS GAZETTED
Hogulations under the Unemployment Act, passed during the present session of Parliament, are published in the Gazette. Under these regulations it is necessary for all male persons who haw reached the age of 20 years, whether liable for payment of the 30/- tax or not, to register within one month of the date of the operation of the Act, October 11. .Ln the application for registration, the following particulars have to !be furnished: —iName, residential address, occupation or calling, name and address of employer (if any), business address (if any), find the date of attaining 20 years of age (required only when the applicant attained the age of 20 after the commencement of the Act). The registration "form must be signed by the person furnishing the 'particulars, and the signature must be witnessed by some adul person “of competent understanding.” Certificates that persons have been registered will be issued by postmasters. .Nominations for the Unemployment Board close on November 7. Nominations will be received from organisations of employers engaged in primary and secondary industries, organisations of workers, land from the Returned ’Soldiers’ Association.
