The latter figure is made up of 3,083,040 pairs of imported footwear and 1,012,433 pairs manufactured in the Dominion. Figures for the year ended iMareh 31st ■last reveal that the value of manufactures in the ; industry during the year 1929-30 wias the highest recorded since ,1924-25.
