COMMITTEE MEETING
A committee meeting of the Boxton Bailed Sports Association was held in the .Racing Club office on 'Thursday evening, presided over by Mr. W. T. Jewell (president-). Also present were Mossirs It. '.Bryant, S. Austin, G. E. Smith, J. Barber, 1). R. Barron, G. Alexander, W. Ross, .AT. E. Perreau, E. Parkin, 11. Hamer, D. Christie and the secretary (Mir. J. L. 'Christie).
The tender of MV. S'horthouse was accepted for the publican’s booth on tile course on sports day.
A vote of thanks was accorded 2YA Broadcasting' Co. for its offer to broadcast the results and a description of the racing.
It was decided that the Association become a member of the 2ZE ('lull) (Palmerston North). Mr. A. A. Wood (Palmerston N.), was elected a life member of the. Association as a mark of the Association’s appreciation of the excellent- services he- had rendered m the past.
Matters of a routine nature were discussed and details finalised in connection with the forthcoming meeting. NOMINATIONS AND HANDICAPS.
