ATTACKED BY A COW.
MAN SEVERELY INJURED. Ngatea, Friday. While Ate. R. Nelson was engaged in skinning a calf which he had killed in a paddock on his father’s farm at Kadiere yesterday morning he was attacked by the mother of the calf.
Tike cow knocked Mr. Nelson down and trampled on liim. He was severely injured, but managed to get to a fence, and roll out of danger, when he became unconscious.
A passing motorist noticed Mr. N elsou lying beside the roatl, but could not stop on the steep hill, so bo reported the matter to the Kaiueire schoolmaster, who sent some children to investigate. When lUey arrived Ah 1 . Nelson was just regaining consciousness. He was removed to his parents’ home iu a neighbour's car.
