lAN A W’ATU ICIENiTRE ANNUAL MEETING.
The annual meeting of the Manawatu Centre, of the Royal Life Saving Society was held in Palmerston North on Tuesday eTening. Messrs A. E. Alsop, E. Morgan, L. King, J. Barratt, M. Baird, G. Shaw and A. Alsop represented the local Surf Club. The election of officers resulted a s follows: — President: W. L. Fitzlierbert Esq.; vice-presidents: Messrs dames Wallace, A. J. Graham, 11. C. Collinson, .J. G. Radford, F. C. Campbell, A. W. Thompson, J. Murray, G. G-. Haneox, W. A. Swinbourn, E. Bary, E. W. Mooi’e, J. A. Nash, A. McKegg, J. Linklater, R. H. Spencer, G. H. Neal, W. d. Smith, C, P. Nash, L. J. Plank, L. d. Wild (F'eilding), J. McKelvie (Carnarvon), A. Alsop (Mnnawatu Heads, Foxton), the headmaster of the Manchester, street school (Feilding), F. E. Leddra (Levin), Rev. McManus, Mosdames Rhodes, Collier, Vasey and Miss C. Warburton. Mr. IV. C. Collier was re-elected chairman of the executive; Mr. R. E. Small, secretary and treasurer; Mr R. 0. Haddon, chief lion, instructor; Mr. D. C. Pryor, chief examiner; Messrs W. C. Collier, G. H. Neal, R. 0. Haddon, W. Schwarz, G. G. Haneox and Mre. Vasey, board of examiners; Mr. E. E. Speaking of the formation of the Foxton Surf Club, the chairman spoke eulogistieally of what had been accomplished already. -The progress had been material and he
'•ongra tula ted the iClub. The Centre hoped this year, as a result of Fox ton's activities to be able to send a, team to the Wanganui competitions.
