BOWLING

On Saturday, Levin Club will officially open its green for the season. Two rinks will make the journey from Folcton Club. The rinks have been arranged 'as follows from the names placed upon the board at the Club’s pavilion:— Trueman, Newth, Stevenson, John Ross. Howe, Walton, Woods, Walker. The local green has been receiving a great deal of attention from the green superintendent (Mr. Mewtli) with the assistance of a few enthusiastic members, and shows signs of being in excellent order for the Club’s opening day on the 15th inst. Yesterday’s “bee’ had a “roll up” at the conclusion of work, and the green was found to he running especially well considering the circumstances.

Takaro green was officially opened yesterday afternoon. The Foxton Club was not represented.
