TOWN HALL. William Codv, versatile screen star, is to be seen u! the Town Hall on Saturday in “Wolves of the City,’’ a Universal thrill feature. Tt is an exciting, melodrama of Hie underworld. Codv who lias appeared in many underworld pictures for Universal, enacts the role of a young millionaire who is bored with living and is ready for ntiylliing that will offer excitement. His desire for anything to break the monotony leads him lo answer a newspaper advertisement dropped by a beautiful girl whom he has rescued from a run-a-way horse. His answering the advertisement results in bis getting into a series of thrilling adventures with a gang of art thieves. Cody is admirably supported by a well chosen cast headed by Sally Blaine, one of the most popular of the younger actresses in Hollywood. Miss Blaine is called upon lo do many difficult- stunts in “Wolves, of the City” as well as quite a bit of emotional acting. At .previews of “Wlolves of the City,” Miss Blaine was enthusiastically complimented by many Los Angeles motion picture critics. The supporting east also includes Monte Montague as the comedianchauffeur; Charles Clary, veteran diameter actor, as the wealthy art collector; Al Ferguson as Alike Maiehin, one of the art thieves; and Louise Carver, as Mother Ala,chin, the brains of the gang. Leigh Jason directed the picture under the supervision of William Lord Wright. With “All for Geraldine (Comedy), News and Cartoon.
A new-crime and mystery film, “The Ware Case,” made by First National, will be the bill at the Town Hall on Wednesday. It boasts a east of popular actors of both stage and screen headed by Stewart Rome and Betty Carter.
