GOLF.
LEVIN CLUB DEFEATS HERRINGTON.
On Saturday afternoon eleven male members of the Levin Golf Club visited Foxton where they met members of the Herrington Club on the local links. The weather was perfect for the occasion ami a most enjoyable time was spent. Levin emerged the winners by seven games to three. Air. F. A. Mason (President) welcomed the visitors and Mr. Bull returned thanks on behalf of the Levin Club. The play resulted as follows, Foxton players being mentioned first:— -M. B. Bergin beat Mr. Adams; €. M. Hewekt beat Mr. Siibnn; E. Petersen beat Mr. Bull; L. C. Bryant, halved with Mr. Phillips; H. K. Tail lost to Mr. France; C. \V. Pederson lost to Mr. Percy; Rev. Walton lost to Dr. Thompson : R. Pederson lost to Air. Smaill; F. Mason lost to Air. Davies: E. AVigg lost to Air. Challies; A. P. Easton lost,to Air. Blake. All voted the afternoon very enjoyable and the visitors spoke very highly of the Links.
