EDUCATION REPORT

DISCUSSED BY WANGANUI BOARD. A special meeting of the Wanganui Education Board was held yesterday to discuss the Education Recess Committee’s report. Several of the recommendations were discussed at length. The Board ■ceretary read a lengthy criticism disproving, many of the statements submitted in evidence. At the conclusion of a lengthly sitting the Board passed a resolution to the effect that until more definite information was submitted to prove that the proposed change in administration would effect a financial saving it favoured the present system of administrative control. 11 was decided to circulate the secretary’s comments and criticism of the report to the Minister, members of Parliament, Boards and committees.
