WiALKLEY BANKER, COMPETITION. Last Salurday a knock-out basketball tournament was held on the. Levin .District High School Counts, the trophy being a banner recently presented by Air. Walk ley, of Levin. Eleven teams entered and as no team was disqualified until it had lost two games, keen competition resulted. When the fourth round was reached it was found that Boxbon, Levin and Levin Convent were the three leading' teams and when Levin met Boston, Convent having drawn a bye, considerable interest was attached to the game. From the first Boston dominated the play, giving an excellent exhibition with quick short passing and making few mistakes with the shooting. At half time the score was 5 —3 in favour of Boxton, but when play was resumed they failed to maintain their lead. Towards the end of the game Levin equalled the scores and the excellent defence of the Levin team, prevented Boston from increasing theirs, and when time was called the score ..was, Levin B—Boston8 —Boston t).
