PRESBYTERIAN SOCIAL GUILD.
ANNEAL MEETING.
The annual meeting of the Fox* lon Presbyterian Ladies’ Social Guild was held in the schoolroom yesterday afternoon. Rev. W. H. Nicholas presided and opened the meeting with prayer. There was a good attendance. The annual report and balancesheet, disclosing a very satisfactory state of affairs, were read and adopted. The report showed that during the year the Guild had made a grant of £2O to the Church managers independent of: the results of special efforts raised on hclmlf of the Clmrejlg, while the Guild had also met the payments in connect Lon with the schoolroom
A warm tribute was paid to Hie president, (Mrs, Nicholas) for her untiring Work in connection wilh the Guild. All the officers of the Guild were unanimously re-elected as follow#: — President: Mrs. Nicholas; secretary: Mrs. J. Ross; lion, treasurer: Mrs. J. Thomson; vice-presidents: Mesdames A. Ross, Remain, Stevenson and Miss Duncan. A vole of (hanks was passed to Mr. Nicholas For presiding and the meeting’ closed with the Benediction. At the conclusion of the meeting a pleasant social time was spent, Mesdames Nicol (Oroua Downs), 11. Reid and Manlell being hostesses. An original and novel competition caused much interest and was won by Mrs. Barron. A tasty afternoon tea was dispensed after which another novel and amusing' competition was won by Mrs. MoF wen.

Before dispersing, Mrs. Nicholas moved a vote of thanks to the hostesses for the most enjoyable afternoon they had provided which was carried liv acelamatio.n.
