PETROL PRICES INCREASED

OIL COMPANIES BEAR. PORTION. Auckland, August 2. Petrol prices were raised to-day in Auckland. The increase is 2d per gallon for bowser supplies and 3d for case supplies. Wellington, August 2. Petrol prices are up and oil prices go up on Monday. The oil companies haive not passed on the whole of the duty. Bulk petrol is up 2d a gallon retail and case petrol is up 3d. Lubricating oil prices, retail, from service stations from Monday will be 1/1 per pint, 2/2 per quart, 3/3 for three pints, 4/3 for four pints, 5/3 for five pints, 6/3 for six pints, 7/3 for seven pints, and 8/- per gallon. This last was the existing - price.
