MYSTERIOOS FATALITY.

TARANAKI SETTLER’S DEATH. Elbham, Aubust 1. ~ A fatality is reported from the Mangimingi district, near Eltham. Mr. John Granville, J.P., a very old settler, died last night from injuries received. He was found at 7 p.m. lying in a drain. A doctor found that Mr. Granville was suffering from a fractured skull and broken ribs, which had pierced a lung. Death occurred during the night. It is not. known how the injuries were received.
