MONTHLY MEETING. The monthly meeting of the Maim wa-tu Rabbit. Board was held in the secretary’s office this afternoon, presided over by Trustee B. G. Gower (chairman). Also present were Trustees W. E. Barber, J. F. MeKelvie, R. Boswell, J. Gloyn, T. Grautmer, A. Grant, and tlie secretary (Mr. K. liangilieuea). Mr. D. R-. Barron (inspector) was also in attendance. 'The inspector (Mr. D. R. Barron) reported as follows: — During the past month I have been engaged in the general inspection of properties in the Board area and in following up with personal inspection the statutory notices and circulars sent out to all ratepayers last month.

Results from strychnine poisoning have been quite satisfactory although no big tallies have been made. Fumigation has been carried out to a very large extent, and with the ground in such good order results are again quite good. I would strongly urge all farmers who have uot proceeded with the necessary work to lose no time in having it completed while the weather is good and before the busy spring season approaches. This is by far. the driest winter the Board has experienced! since its inception iand breeding has never stopped and a big majority of rabbits being poisoned at present are does in young. Every doe caught at present is as good as six rabbits caught later on and unless we have a very heavy and continuous rain'fall shortly there will be a continuance of breeding as the breeding
