WANDERING STOCK MENACE

COLLISION ON S'ANDO,N ROAD. Shortly after dark on Saturday i veiling a car proceeding along the Fox ton-Samlon highway in the direeiion of 'Sandon came into violent collision with a cow which stepped ■ ill on to the road in front, of the .follicle. Fortunately no one was injured hut the car was considerably damaged, the lamps being knocked back and the radiator stove in. The driver proceeded to Kotigotea where he got in touch with the Manawatu County Council Trull lie inspector (Mr. W;m. Berry) who together with the County Ranger promptly proceeded to the scene of the collision where they found a number of cows grazing on the roadside. The owner of the animals was located and the sequel will probably be heard in the local Court at an early date.
