WEDDING

JAMIESON —iSiHAILER. At the Cuba Street Methodist Church, Palmerston North, on Wednesday, .Tune 11, the wedding was celebrated of Ellen Jessie (Nellie), eldest daughter of Mr. and Airs. C. H. Simpler, of “Roseleaf,” Oroua Downs, and Andrew, eldest son Mr. and the late Mrs. James Jamieson, of Foxton Line, Rev. J. D. McArthur being the officiating clergyman. Escorted by her father, Ihe bride entered the church wearing a graceful gown of while satin and radium lace and her beautifully embroidered veil was arranged over a coronet of orange 'blossoms. Her shoes were silver and she 1 carried a bouquet of white roses, chrysanthemums and maidenhair fern. There -were two bridesmaids, bulb sisters of the l,i ulc. Miss Edit- Sliailor (chief) wore a pretty jade green silk georgette frock wilh touches of gold, with- hat and shoes to (one and < arried a bouquet of cream roses, i-1i rysa ii Miemn ins and maidenlia ir fern. Miss Nila -Shaffer wore a sweet frock of apricot sal in wilii touches of blue, and pale blue hat and shoes; her bouquet was of aprieol chrysanthemums and aulumii leaves. Mr. Dolph Alve was Mie best man and Mr. Stanley Shaffer, brother of Hie bride, the groomsman. There was a reception al the Orange Hall, where (here were about sixty guests, including Mr. and Mrs. J. Lin kinder, M.P.. to honour the I,oasis. Airs. Similar, mother of the bride, received her guests wearing a black brocaded fro'ck and black silk hat.

Later I lie young couple left for Auckland, the bride Ira,veiling in a dark brown ensemble with smart hat to match and brown shoes and -lockings. The beautiful bouquets were the. gift of Mr. A. J. Shaffer, uncle of the bride.
