PATHETIC DUN El U N TRAGEDY. Dunedin, Last Night. A tragic, lire occurred in a tworoomed cottage in South Dunedin early this evening when an elderly woman, Miss Bertha. Diehle, 84 years of age, was burned to death. When, the brigade arrived on the scene the collage was burning fiercely and on information being received Iha I an old woman liad been seen in the building a. few ho in's before the outbreak strenuous efforts were made to enter the house. When the flames were finally subdued the body of deceased was found lying near'a sofa in the kitchen where il is supposed the lire first: started. Deceased is said to have relatives in Invercargill.
