COIM'PL-ETTON OF HIGHWAY FORMATION TO VYHIROKINO BRIDGE. The Horowhenua County Council on Saturday received from the Main Highways Board an application schedule for maintenance and , .instruction in connection with the Estimates for 1930-31. A list of constructional works on behalf of which application is to be made for subsidies was approved by tin- Council. The works, together with-the total estimated cost (covering tenlative County and Government shares) in each case, are as under: — NYU HIGHWAY (WELLINGTON TO AF OK LAND, VIA FOXTON). Manukau Stream bridge; £ISBB. Waikawa River bridge; completion of road approaches, £3BO. Levin-Foxton Road; -completion of second three miles, £1.5,600; third section, two and a-half miles in Whirokino bridge, formation and foundation wo He, £8001).
