AUCKLAND R.C. WINTER MEETING.
DISTRIBUTION OF STAKES. MR. WALLER FIRST WITH £2250.
A total of £13,050 in stakes was distributed at the Great Northern meeting-. The Foxton owner-train-er, Mr. F. R. Waller, was the principal winner with £2250, made up of the two wins and one third secured by Aurora Borealis. Air. J. I). Ormond, of Hawke's Bay, and Air. R. Hannon, of Cambridge, were next, with £I2BO each. While Alt'. Ormond’s total was earned solely by King’s Jest. Mr. Hannon’s winnings were contributed to by four members of his team, Chroma dyne, Homan Abbey Pennvplain and Takutama.
The three successes of Taumai credited Afr P. A. Sweney, of Waihou, with £llOO, while Gold Aloney’s two wins and King Emerald’s second in the Cornwall Handicap gave Air. W. Kemp, of Onehunga, £IOSO. ’flu* only other to reach four figures was Mr. W. Scholium, of Auckland, who won £IOOO with True Blood and Helium. Other winners were Messrs AT. and -J.
