Tlio. usual monthly silling' of I.lie local court was held this morning', presided over by Messrs A. and 0. Fraser J’s.P., in the absence of Mr. -). L. Stout, S.M. DRIVING WITHOUT LICENSE. Win. Berry (traffic inspector for lhe Manawatu County Council) proceeded against J. Potaka for driving a motor lorry at Rangiotu on April 7th without a driver's liPotaka said he had no license and had not taken one out since as lie had no car to drive. He was convicted and fined 10/with costs 19/-. CIVIL CASES. Judgment was given for plaintiff in the following' civil undefended case:— J. 11. Hofmann v. W. Harrison, claim £lO 18/-, costs £2 16/-.
