DORCAS SOCIETY
A committee meeting of the Dorcas Society was held yesterday, when there were present., Mesdanies C. H. Symons, Perreau, Moore, and Revs. \V. 13. Walton (in the chair), Nicholas and Tapp. Apologies were received from Alesdames Robinson, Nicholas and Ensign Smith. The question of supplying soup I,:, the school children, who most needed if, was discussed. It was agreed to start next Tuesday, ’the organising will be ill charge of Mrs. C. H. Symons. Any additional helpers will be welcomed, and are asked to comiminicale with Mrs. Symons. ]| was' decided lo bring Ihe committee number up to the strength of last year. Quite a number of the Society s members have left the district, and to replace these, two or three members from eneli church are needed. Parcels of cioUiing have been received from Mesdanies Sea bury and Xewson, and one anonymous. Garments for small children would be vcrv acceptable, or anything Mutable that may be made up.
