LUNCH CLUB.
MONTHLY MEETING. The monthly meeting of the Foxton Lunch lOlu'b was held in Whyte’s Hotel to-day, presided over by Mr. C. M. TTewett. Also present were Messrs D. Christie, F. A. Mason, P. H. Murray, \V. E. Bullard, W. Trueman, It. M. Parkes, J. Newton, Rev. Nicholas and Walton, R. J. Thompson, M E. Perrcau, S. HPoole, M. B. Bergin, and Mr. Rathjack, of Christchurch, was a visitor.
Apologies for absence were received from Messrs -J. K. Horn-blow, R. Sorby, IT. Osborne, anil I. Corn. The speaker was Mr. R-. A. Robbie who chose for his subject “The Foundation of Taranaki.” At the conclusion of his address the speaker was accorded a vote of thanks on the motion of Messrs M. B. Bergin and W. H. Nicholas.
