ALL SAINTS’ CHURCH.

AN n ua l meet IN G OF' FA IDSill ONERS. The parishioners of All Saints’ Church held their annual meeting on Monday evening, when the Rev. W. 11. Walton presided over one of the largest attendances for many years.

The vicar’s report and the audited balance-sheet,, as submitted by the secretary (Mr. E. J. Murphy) were read and adopted. The vicar expressed thanks to the various workers in the activities of the church and made special reference to the work of the honorary organists, Airs. Bain and Aliss Nancy Robinson. The workers in the Sunday school deserved great credit and it was pleasing to mile that the Sunday school at Urmia Downs was am,king- very good progress. Throughout, the year, the church attendances had been very encouraging and in this respect marked progress had been maintained. The number of communicants at both the Christmas and Faster services had constituted recurds for the parish, in referring lo the two windows presented to the church by Airs. A. S. Easton in memory of her late husband, Mr. Walton pointed mil that gifts such as these enriched the House of God and became a perpetual token of love and gratitude. He hoped that Mrs. Easton’s gift would inspire others to give to God’s House. In conclusion, the vicar thanked the Cadies’ Guild for its splendid work. He regretted very much the absence of Mrs. Walton from Foxton hut tor health reasons, she could not ieliifn for some months at least, lie stressed the fact that the fin-

The election of officers for the Billowing year resulted: Churchwardens, .Messrs Francis Robinson (vicar’s) and Wm. .Nye (people’s); vestry, Messrs S. 11. Boole, E. J. Murphy, R. Warwick, T. East, W. Nye, A. E. Nicolls (Oroua Downs), and Mrs. Bain. Mr. (}. F. Smith was also elected subject to his approval; honorary auditor, Mr. E. Jackson; duplex envelope secretary, Mr. W. J. Harris.
