MIRACULOUS ESCAPE

MOTOR-GAR. PLUNGES DOWN BANK. New Plymouth, April 30. A miraculous escape from serious consequences was the feature"of the plunge of a large sedan ear 20 ft. over a bank near Fronui in the early hours of yesterday morning. The ear, which was driven by Mrs. G. Ferguson, of Ngaei'e, skid ded in some soft clay. Had the car mil. been cauglil by some willows a fall of another 30 feet would have resulted. Mrs. Ferguson was driving- through from Auckland. The car was only slightly damaged, while the passengers suffered no injury.
