Six men are suspected of (lie murder of the flashing Broadway chorus queen, “The Canary.” One person killed her, hut circumstances and im.lives are established during the investigation of the crime which point to each of the six men as tlie murderer.. Then 1 lie mystery seems to clear when “The Canary’s’' chorus girl friend is accused ol the murder, the motive established and clues uncovered to prove her connection with the murder. “Who Killed the Canary?” Police are hall’led at the daring crime. Detectives scurry hither and von, questioning, ace using, arresting. Then Philo Vance enters upon the ease. Here is the amateur sleuth created by S. S. Van Dine, the famous author hiding behind a pen name, for his scries of popular detective stories. Philo Vance, played by William Powell, discovers the true criminal in a unique manner. “The Canary Murder Case” has everyone guessing. “Who Killed 'the Canary” is the cry of the hour. Who can solve the mystery"? With episode 2 “The Pirate of Panama,” and “Dangerous Curves” (comedy). Usual prices. “Nameless Men” is the feature picture at the Town Hall next Saturday. It is a story of the doings of a gang of ex-convicts who become hank robbers.
