FOXTON LUNCH CLUB.
MONTHLY MEETING. The monthly meeting of the Foxton Lunch Chili was held in Whyte’s Hotel to-day, presided over hv Air A1..8. Borgin. The speaker was Mr A. 8., ArcCntehoon, of Wellington. Also present were: Messrs F. A. Mason, J. Martin, C. M. Hewett, D. 'Christie, W. Trueman, Revs. W. 11. Walton and Nicholas, H. E. GarLett, G. F. Smith, S. TI. .Poole, F. Murray, M. E. Perreau, G. Eraser, R. Parkes, S. Mat-tar, and the Secretary (Mr I. Corn). Visitors present were Messrs R. Edwards (Palmerston North), B. Stewart (Wellington), and C. Black (Auckland). Air AleCutcheon, who is chief engineer to the Western Electric Company, and a director of the concern, took for his subject “The Talkies,” and gave an interesting address. Afr B. Stewart, of Auckland, also spoke on the success of an installation at liuntly.
The speakers were accorded a vote of thanks on the motion of Messrs Walton and Trueman.
