PLANTED BY GOVERNMENT,
At Thursday’s meeting 'of the Aianawatu Rabbit Board the chairman, during a discussion on noxious weeds, said that some years ago the Government was anxious to hold a piece of land against river erosion at the Railway bridge between Woodville and Pahiatua and with this in view planted the area with goatsrue. It certainly did its duty well and was now well established between the spot and Manawatu Heads, and as a noxious weed, was a serious menace.
