Rev. (I. K. Ait-ken left Foxton for Wellington yesterday. Mr. Ailken intends spending a few days in Wellington (trior to returning to Christchurch.
The friends of Mr X. Cresswell will be pleased to learn that he hits returned from Hospital and is making good progress towards recovery after It is recent operation.
A slight improvement is reported m the condition of George Lamb, Hie Foxton Imy injured at the (Iroim Downs sports on Wednesday last.
The local Girl Guides, of which body Miss Stevenson was Captain (luring her sojourn in Foxton, presented her with a necklace during her visit here over the week end. Mr. If. Osborne had the misfortune to slip and fall on Saturday evening til his residence, and severely sprain his ankle. As a result he will he confined to his home for a dav or so.
Mr. E. Jackson, who lias been relieving at liongotea us acting manager of that branch of the Bank of New Zealand, has returned to Foxton and recommenced his duties at the local branch. Mr. J. Ogle, who filled Mr. Jackson’s position during his absence, has been I r.-msfen-ed to Petone.
