♦ HIGH 'COMMISSIONER’S REPORT.

The Department of Agriculture has received the following cablegram, dated loth instant, from the High Commisioner for New Zealand, London: — Hemp:—Manila: This week market opened weak but owing to good demand prices firmer at the close. “J” grade March-May shipment sold at £29 10/-.

Sisal: Market firm. Fair average quality No. 1 March-May shipment sold £33 10/-; good marks quoted at £34 and No. 2 quoted at 20/- less.

New Zealand market dull. Nominal comparative closing values for March-May shipment are higfi points £3l 10/-; common, £2G; No. 2 tow, £2O 10/- and No. 3 £l7. Small parcel fair sold afioat £27 10/- London.
