.Mr. and Mrs. (). Duel left Uo\ton for Palmerston North to-day. Mr. K. Robinson, of 1 Tutt, is at present home on siek leave. Airs. \V. Trueman and Mrs. I). Cliristie left for Dunedin on Thursday on a holiday visit. Mr. N. 11. I’ieketi, exchange clerk from .Motu, eommeneed duty at the local exchange yesterday. Mr. and Mrs. Ueorge Rough, of Whittaker Street, have returned from a holiday spent in the north. Mr. .). Linklalrr, M.l’., will open Ihe autumn show of the Levin Horticultural Society on Tuesday next. Mr. R. A. .Johnstone, telegraphist, left Uoxton yesterday for Marinin, where he has been transferred. The Rev. Air Tapp, of Taranaki, has been appointed .to take charge of the Uoxton Methodist circuit. Miss E. lleasman is at present spending a holiday in Wellington. Mrs Thomson snr., is visiting her son, Mr .). M. Thomson, of Thynno St reel;. Miss M. Hunt who has been spending a holiday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. \Y. Hunt, of John stun Street, returned to take up her duties on the nursing staff of the Palmerston North Hospital vesterda v.
Airs. 11.. 11. Uornblmv, of Nelson, arrived from the south to-day to spend a holiday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Barber, of Motuiti. Slie was accompanied by Miss E. Barber, who is returning home after spending a holiday with !ii*r sister in Nelson.
Mr. .J. O’Reilly, the popular driver of Messrs Madge Bros., Palmerston North-Uoxton char-a-banc has been transferred to the Feildjng run and eoaiiinciie.es his new duties on Monday. He will be missed off the local run as he was always a most obliging and courteous ollfeial. Air. B. AlcNab, of Palmerston North, will take over his position on the Uoxton service.
