FOXTON RETAILERS

DECIDE TO FORM ASSOCIATION.

A very representative meeting of Foxton retailers was held in Ross's rooms last night. Mr. D. Christie was voted to the chair and explained the object of the meeting which, lie said, was to bring about eliiser co-operation among the various businesses of the town and to arrange re holidays, etc. A general discussion took place and it was unanimously decided to form a retailers’ association. The following officers were elected: —President: Mr. D. Christie; vice-president: Mr. .). Thomson; secretary and treasurer: Mr. J. Christie. It was decided to discuss constitution and i ulcs at a meeting to be held next week. A vote of thanks to the chair concluded a very enthusiastic meeting.
