TROUBLE IN LEAGUE CAMP.
'Christchurch, February 19. The president of the Canterbury Rugby Football League (Dr. Thacker) was suspended by the Management Committee of the League last night until such time as he appears before the Committee, “to explain various statements attributed to kim, and his unconstitutionally calling a meeting of delegates.” Three League players—J. R. O’Shaughnessy, W. J. Lambert-on and A. O’Connor —were suspended during the pleasure of the Management Committee, for “acting in a manner, in the opinion of the Committee, bringing discredit on the game.”
