The death took place at Palmerston North on Tuesday of a wellknown settler in the person of Mr. George Kendall, aged 81 years. The deceased was at one time a member of the Maimwatu County Council, Kilzherliert Road Board and Palmerston Hospital Board and Borough Council. A widow and two daughters. Miss L. Kendall and Mrs. Carson (Bulls) arc left to mourn their loss. The death occurred on 'Tuesday at the Palmerston North hospital, of Mr A. 8. Collyer, a well-'known IWilding business mini. The late Mr i("ollyer who was 07 years of age, had been in indifferent health for some time. He is survived by a widow, three daughters, Mrs H. Berry, of Thyime Street, Poxton, and Misses Ruby and Eva Collyer, and one son, Mr A. Collyer, of Wellington, to whom the sympathy of a large circle of friends will he extended. The interment took place at Wellington to-day.
