ROAD CYCLE RACING.

A one mile road race will lie held oi (i. 30 this evening under the auspices of the local Athletic anil-Cycling Association for the purpose of selecting a rider or riders to participate in the Provincial meeting. The race will be one mile, around the Johnston Street block.

A local sports enthusiast informs us that riders have been riding some long races since cycle rai ing came into vogue locally. The Johnston block has always been reckoned on a mile dead to the Post Office whereas it was discovered by careful measurement on Sunday that the speedometer ticked off a mile when opposite the Presbyterian 'Church.
