The treasurer’s monthly report was as follows: — ACCOUNT'S.
The accounts to he dealt with total £6972 13/8; of this amount £1037 4/1 has been paid and is submitted for /confirmation. The chief item for payment is, of course, the electricity account, for the quarter ended December 31st, 1929. This is the highest account we have had and represents a maximum demand of 2471 k.v.a. Our electricity purchases for the current financial year have been £ July quarter 3727 September quarter / 4797 December quarter 5042 Total for nine months 13466 Our maximum demand has already exceeded 2000 k.v.a. for the current quarter, so that the estimate of £16,600 as the electricity purchases for the year will he mi - der the actual amount. On the other hand, however, the electricity sales will show a compensating increase on the estimates. Of the 100 debentures for sale, 21 have, already been disposed of. In view of the present fairly heavy expenditure on capital works and the consequent drain on the loan account, it has been necessary to make advances from the revenue account to the loan aeeount. These advances will be repaid when further sales have been made of the above debentures.
The report was adopted, on the motion of the chairman, seconded by Mr. Seifert. ENGINEER’S REPORT.
