We desire to draw the attention of readers to the advertisement of Messrs Dahl Ltd. concerning this firm's reliable tarpaulins. The advertisement appears on page 3 of this issue. The Commissioner of Taxes draws attention of taxpayers to the notification appearing in to-day’s issue that the due date of payment of the Income-tax is on Monday, •he 10th day of Febriuijry, 1930. Additional tax will accrue if the tax is not paid on or before 3rd March, 1930. The. demands will bo posted from the offi;ce of the Commissioner of Taxes on or about 31st January, 1930. Demands must be presented with all payments, and if a demand has not been received the Commissioner should be communicated with.
With a grindstone tied to his neck, the !body of John Findlay, aged 53, was found in the Te Heimi river, states a New Plymouth wire. Deceased was formerly in business as a baker at New Plymouth and Wiaitara and had been in ill-health for some time.
