BOWLING.

At the local green yesterday members took advantage of tie pleasant weather, and indulged in pairs play both morning and afternoon. In the forenoon two games were played in the Thomson trophies competition, Hinds and Newt-h (s) beating Seaddcn and Heppner (s), and J. Chris tie and Huntley (s) beating Trueman and Thomson (s). After lunch a pairs tournament vwas played, the decision being given on aggregate points, which was by Robinson and Walker (s), Christie and FTewth (s) being run-ners-up. On Wednesday next it is anticipated that four rinks from Ter-/-* race End will pay a friendly visit to Foxton.
