THE PROGRESS OF ELECTRICITY.
Local and district residents arc particularly - well supplied with electricity and there is scarcely a home in these parts in which the great white light at least has not been installed since the advent of power from Mangahao. It was also surprising to note the large number of homes in which cookers and water beaters had been installed in the Horowhenua Board’s district in returns published by that Board and the demand is ever growing. People now realise what a great boon the power is, especially when it comes to cooking but the prospective consumer should be careful to exercise the utmost care in the selection of an electrical range. The new Hot Point is fifty per cent, faster than other makes and the wonderful new Hot Point element, all enclosed in copper tubing, renders this cooker absolutely shock proof, and gives it a maximum of heat. 'Hot Point elements have a longen'life, too, and cost less than a quarter the price of others, namely 12/6. The Hot Point stove has been thoroughly tried out by all the leading* supply authorities who are loud in their praise and admiration of this cooker. However, if in doubt about installing an electric cooker, consult Steve Be van, of Levin, district agent for the Pot Point. He will be pleased io discuss the matter with you and demonstrate. Ring ’phone 315 (day) or 110 (night). Bevan and Co. undertake all classes of electrical work in this district and guarantee satisfaction.
