KEROSENE AND CANCER.
HEALTH OH PART .HUNT'S
REPORT
Wellington, Last Night. A report has been prepared by the deputy Director-General of lieaith (Hr. M. [[. Watt) and submitted to the Ministeii' of Health (lion. A. .1. Stall worthy) in regard to the alleged “kerosene cure” for cancer of Mr. L. N". White.
The report? inter alia, says Mr. While claims lie cured himself by tin- use of applications of hot kerosene per the rectum. The available evidence shows rather that all evidence of tumour and disease had disappeared under the use of radium and before lie left the hospital
and actually before ever kerosene was applied. Furthermore, 'kerosene was applied to rectum which, it the evidence of the hospital authorities can be relied ups • was at no time affected am! D- m in. the absorption of kerosene would not occur. “It is difficult then to sfee\"” A ' kerosene applied-in this wav have any influence on a tumour 'the neighbouring organ, the pros-' trute. It is more reasonable to conclude that a tumour of the prostrate either was an inflammatory process which naturally subsided, or if sarcomatous that it was removed by the application of radium.”
