A rrangem.fntn for MEETING.
.A meeting of the stewards ■ami committee of the Foxton Racing Clul> was held last evening' when maitten’s relative to the forthcoming' meeting- were discussed and arrangements ima.de. There was a good attendance, presided over by Mr. W. E. Barber (president). Tenders were accepted as follows: —Race boohs, Mr. J. Wyeth; catering', Mir. .). Walls; publican’s booth, Mr. S. W. R. Evans (Palmerston North); cigarette stall, Mr. 11. Hutchins; gates, Mr. T. Hastings (Palmerston North). The totalisa'tor will be run, as usual, by Messrs Marett and Fox, of Havelock North, and the Wanganui district ambulance will be in attendance.
,'Tlic course is in excellent condition for racing'. The caretaker (Mr. Simpson) has just finished entiling and raking- the track and the course will again he mown and raked next week just prior to the .meeting. The llower beds are looking very pretty and everything points to a good meeting.
