RIVER BOARD ELECTION.
The ratepayers in the Moutoa sub-division of the ManawatuOroua Rivers Board area will be called upon on the 14th ins.t. to elect two- members to the Boat’d. Of the three candidates offering’, two are sitting members viz., Messrs W. S. Carter and B. G. Gower (the former is the Board chairman) and John Chrystall (chairman of the Moutoa Drainage Board). Mr. (Chrystall has been an outspoken opponent of the Board’s policy in respect to the river cuts and it will be interesting to aslcertain per medium of the ballot :box whether his attitude finds endorsement at the hands of the ratepayers.
